How to prepare for an Exam? (advice)

How to prepare for an Exam? (advice)

Hello everybody! First of all, sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been  busy with projects and other things for Uni.

So, for today’s post, I thought it would be nice to change the topic a bit and talk about something that everybody (or almost) is doing at the moment: studying.

I know that so many of you are having exams at the moment (so have I) and I thought it would be useful to talk about my ways of preparing for an exam. Let’s be honest, we have different ways of studying, but let’s see if we have something in common or if I can give you some advice! 🙂

So, let’s get started because I feel like this is going to be a long post (hihi).

1.Organize your time

For me, it is very important to organize my studying time, because I tend to get distressed by everything around me and I can’t focus. I found recently an interesting site that organize my time for me: Get Revising:

2. Organize your notes

Once you have a sense of where everything fits together You will also want to think about how you want to group your notes, The best way is to group them by theme, chronology or by concept. There are so many organizers like this one that I really find useful from e-bay

3.Revision Apps

These days, I think you can do everything on your phone (even study) . Because of the amout of apps, you can easily study and take all your notes everywhere with you on you Ipad. I’m going to start with 2 of my faves: Ibooks and GooglePlay/Books: where you can find all the books you need, Quizlet, Flashcards(for notes), Duolingo(for French, Spain,German), Word and PowerPoint. Also, for every subject you’re studying:

GCSE History

GCSE Chemistry

GCSE Physics

GCSE Biology

4.Sleep well, eat healthy,take brakes

I know it sounds ridiculous, but, I used to forget eating while I was studying or I used to stay up late till 3-4 am in order to read some notes. Believe me, IT’S NOT WORKING! I was tired all the time, I couldn’t focus and my grades were not what I expected. So, even if you think you’ll lose 10-15 mins of precious studying, eat something, take brakes and sleep enough.

Chocolate stimulates the release of endorphins, natural hormones produced by the brain, that generates feelings of pleasure and promotes a sense of happiness. Chocolate is very helpful while studying and let’s be honest..who doesn’t like chocolate?

So, that’s it for today’s post. I hope you have enjoyed it and you’ll use my advice. Let me know what helps you to prepare for an exam and if we have something in common!

Love, A <3
